IMPACT Guidance – Training for Trainers – 11th March 2020
March 11 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFREE
IMPACT Training for Trainers is FREE!
IMPACT training, about the effects of smoking on metal health, has been delivered to over 400 people across Scotland. If you have significant numbers of workers and volunteers who support people with mental health problems, this short training course on the adverse effect of smoking on mental health and also on how tobacco smoke renders some mental health medications less effective, is essential. In fact, in a review of the first year of the 10-year Mental Health Plan the roll-out of IMPACT training across the country was cited as an important contribution to the plan.
As an organization you can have your own IMPACT trainers on hand to deliver IMPACT training across your services. The Training for Trainers session is completed in just one day. Thereafter IMPACT Project staff from ASH Scotland will continue to provide back-up and support as well as updating information.
So far the following organisations have taken part or have registered to take part in IMPACT Training for Trainers:
Apex Scotland, Braveheart, Turning Point Scotland, Carr Gomm, PKAVS, Action for Children, SAMH, Recovery Life Café, LANDED Peer Education and most NHS Boards in Scotland.
